M/V Magallanes Expedition vessel

The ^M/N Magallanes is a freight and passenger ferry boat that was contructed in Japan and refurnished in Chile in the year 2000.  Its lenght is 123 meters and its breadth is 21 meters.  The ferry is adapted for carring pasanggers as well as vehicles, and other equipment  (machines or motors or livestock etc).

For Magallanes ship; the safety of its passengers is the first priority.  This is why the vessel is certified according to the following international standards like;  (ISM) with regard to prevention , safety of life at the sea with regard to protection of human life at sea and the ISO 9001 2000 quality procedures.

Cabins & Amenities

The vessel has 38 cabins and 123 berths.   The cabins are divided into 3 categories depending upon the number of persons as well as upon the view they provide. Also the ^M/V Magallanes offers roomy areas for enjoying the voyage, such as exterior passqageways, deck, upper terrace, pub and restaurant.

Smoking is not allowed within the vessel, exept in the pub after 9:00pm
