Patagonian Channels route

PROGRAM 1  SOUTHWARD  Puerto Montt - Puerto Natales
DAY 01 Monday: PUERTO MONTT
Lovers of nature arrive at Puerto Montt  for boarding the ferry Magallanes, which will take an encounter a setting of varied extreme contrasts in the Patagonian channels, From 14:oo to 15:30 pm we will navigate through the Golf of Ancud and Golf of Corcovado. Dinner on board, live music (pub) 22:00

DAY 02 Tuesday:  SOUTHERN FIORDS
Breakfast 08:00  Sailing past Melinka and along North and South Pérez Channels (high season); Sighting of seal colony and cormorants Brieva Strait and Peñón Blanco;  Entry to Pulluche Channel with abundant vegetation, sailing out to sea in the evening

DAY 03  Wednesday:  PUERTO EDEN
Free early coffee (pub) 06:00, Breakfast at o8:00am aprox.   Entry into channels zone, Messier Channel; Passing through Angostura Inglesa and Bajo Cotopaxi, Disembarking Puerto Edén 11:00 , Lunch at 13:00 pm. Talk on geology/glaciation & Torres del Paine (Spanish -English), then Abismo Strait. Concepción Channel

DAY 04  Thursday:  PUERTO NATALES
Crossing the white channel we will finally arrive at Seno Ultima Esperanza (Last Hope Sound) where Puerto Natales is located.

PROGRAM 2  NORTHWARD:  Puerto Natales -Puerto Montt
DAY 01  Thursday  PUERTO NATALES
Boarding at Puerto Natales at 21:oo pm.  Live life music at 22:00pm  (dinner is not included)

DAY 02 Friday: AMALIA GLACIER
Navogation through Last Hope, white channles and Sarminto Channel.  In the aternoon we will arrive at Amalia Glacier , located in the center of the Southern Ice Field, there will be lectures in Spanich and English on geology and glaciology and on the local native populations.  Full board included

DAY 03 Saturday:  PUERTO EDEN
In the morning we will be arriveing at Puerto Eden (only in high season) a tiny village of 280 inhabitants located in the wellington Islands.  among its inhabitants are the kaweskar and alacaule natinves alive today.  We will have a lecture about geology and glaciology in the afternoon.  Full borad included

DAY 04 Sunday:  SOUTHERN FIORDS
Navigation through the Northern channels, with many chances to observe sea lion and cormorant colonies. activities include a lecture on Puerto Montt and its surrandings.  Full board included

DAY 05 Monday:  PUERTO MONTT
Check out after breakfast at 08:30 am
