One-hundred percent Chilean -- that is the idea here at Juncales. Every member of the staff here must be from the region, using the logic that only locals can show you the richest spots for fly-fishing trout and salmon, and provide guests with a more "authentic" experience.
The lodge is located in undoubtedly one of the best regions for fly-fishing, with access to the rivers Correntoso, Futaleufú, and Révolver, and the Black and White lakes. Guides take guests to a different location every day, unless the fishing is particularly good in one spot, and they have a dock moored with motor boats and MacKenzies for float trips.
This is one of the newer lodges in the area, founded in 2001, and the lodge focuses on comfort more than luxury, with a capacity of 10 guests (it is also cheaper than the other lodges). The cuisine here is decidedly Chilean, using local recipes and ingredients.
