This hotel's strength is its location -- perched high on a cliff above the sea -- and although the rooms are not nearly as nice, some travelers prefer the character of this bed-and-breakfast to that of the Ancud.
With porthole windows, a nautical motif, and curved walls, the big, sunflower-yellow hotel feels somewhat like a ship -- an aging ship, that is. Upstairs an intriguing, narrow hallway has a high ceiling that peaks into skylights. T
he hotel is next to the regional museum; large windows look out onto the museum's sculpture garden. The rooms have recently been recarpeted and bathrooms fitted with new showers; however, rooms are still drab and lifeless. The most attractive part of the hotel is its sunny restaurant, with glass walls that look out onto the ocean.
